NAYANTHARA REDUCED HER SALARY
Nayanthara who took the tinsel town to storm with the closing of 22 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films so far. She had paired with top stars like Rajni, Sarath Kumar, Ajith and Vijay.
Most of her films have turned mega hits and filled the coffers of the producers. Her salary was hiked to Rs 1 Crore in Telugu industry. She was paid a few lakhs when she made her debut in Ayya. After Chandiramukhi her sensex rose.
She reached great heights after the victory of Billa and Yaaradi Nee Mohini. Director Lingusamy offered her Rs 1 Crore and 25 Lakhs for his own production film Paiya. But all of a sudden she walked out of the film because she was asked to reduce her salary.
She confirmed her call sheet to Paiya’s crew to Malayalam film Body Guard. In order to insult Paiya’s crew she reduced her salary for this film. Now her salary has been reduced for her new offers. Recently she was signed for the Telugu film Anjaneyulu.
She had given 35 days call sheet and received Rs 65 Lakhs as salary. It is important to note that earlier she received Rs 1 Crore in Telugu film industry.
