Vettraimaran, Aadukalam and ‘Vada Chennai’!

When Vettraimaran gave ‘Pollathavan’ the whole Tamil Industry was in awe about the way the director has conceived the script. Even the media had praised Vettrimaran, on the other hand there was a story that Vetrimaran had used the skeleton of the popular film ‘Bicycle thieves’. But then he was admired for his excellent screenplay by everyone and the film too went on to be a big hit.

But now we hear a controversy on the director’s upcoming project ‘Aadukalam’. Sources say that Vettrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’ was taken from one of his assistant’s script titled ‘Seval Kattu’. And the assistant director came to know about this very late, and had taken this issue to the Producers’ Council. Vettrimaran and the film’s producer had also come down for a compromise by offering 30 lakhs for the script adds the sources.

Meanwhile, we hear that Vettrimaran is gathering information and story of the rowdies in North Chennai. And among the stories of the city’s one time rowdy, Chera’s life is very impressive one according to the director. And this information gathering process is for the director’s next project titled, ‘Vada Chennai’. Sources further add that Vettrimaran is eager to cast Anushka for this one.
