Pazhassi Raja, a high budget movie starring Malayalam Superstar Mammootty in the lead role has been in shooting for a long period of time. The film that got kick started in 2007 is still porgressing. Now the lead actor of the movie, Mammootty himself is taking initiative to complete the movie. The last schedule will be completed in Madikeri in Karnataka. The film is now expecting to reach the theatres by the Vishu season of next year.Pazhassi Raja was one of the early rulers who fought against the Britishers. The script of this movie was handled by famous script writer M T Vasudevan Nair and the film is directed by Hariharan. Last time, when M T, Hariharan and Mammootty joined they were able to pull up a mega hit in Oru Vadakkan Veera Gatha. M.T. is famous for interpreting historical and mythological stories differently.
Others in the cast are Kannada film actor Suman, who dons the role of Pazhayaveedan Chandu, and Tamil actor Sarathkumar, who dons the role of Edacheena Kungan. Just like their previous venture, let's hope this film too make it big at the box office.
