Poorna is a South Indian film actress and model. She has appeared in the some popular Tamil film as well as Malayalam films. She had also acted in a Telugu movie, Sri Mahalakshmi, in the title role itself. Her actual name was Shamna Kasim, a Malayalee by birth. Later, at the start of 2008, she officially changed her name to Poorna. She had done two Tamil films so far, they are Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu along with Bharath and Kodaikanal. Her films in Malayalam were December, Pachakuthira with Dileep, Bhargavacharitam Moonam Khandam with Superstar Mammootty and with Superstar Mohanlal movies like Alibhai, Flash and College Kumaran. Her movies that are in progress are Adigaram, Drogi and Arjunan Kadhali. All these films are in Tamil.
