Aadhavan – Surya’s previous films turning to be big blockbusters had kept us awaited for the grand release. But regrettably, K.S. Ravikumar hadn’t got anything interesting for the audiences. It was almost like beating the same bush with couple of hours running away without substantiality. If Vadivelu wasn’t there, then it could’ve been a terrible scenario.
Peranmai – Unlike his previous film ‘Ee’, SP Jananathan fails to maintain the tempo. But he has placed the right mix of a gripping storyline with commercial ingredients that keeps us intact over places. His detailed study over forest life has been well executed with the narration. The film has been receiving moderate reviews across all centres.
Jagan Mohini – Forget about it. Namitha seems to be ardently laying her hopes over oomph factors that naturally send even her buff running high-on annoyance. The remake version doesn’t boast about anything special in terms of narration and as well technically.
BLUE – Despites carrying the lists of superstars and academy award winners, Antony D’Souza fails to drop a great impact with his debut directorial. BLUE isn’t really a new-fangled attempt as we’ve watched such kind of films at least 100 times in Hollywood. Flimsy screenplay and illogical attributes are the biggest letdowns.
Main Aur Mrs. Khanna – a wrong perception amongst Salman Khan fans had indeed grounded the film with bad results. Salman Khan was reported for having donned the lead role, but his importance goes overshadowed by Sohail Khan. The drama is so boring from beginning till the end. Finally, we don’t have a single best pick for this festive occasion of Diwali. Maybe, the film would’ve witnessed big collections at box office, merely with vigorous promotions prior to film’s release. But critically analyzing the film, none of them have been a gratifying piece of works.
