Padmapriya is a Tamil Brahmin, but was born in Delhi and brought up in Punjab. Her father was in the army and thus she has lived all over India. She is an established actress in the South Indian cinema. She loves Reading, Travelling, Classical Music, Cooking, Swimming and Dancing. Padmapriya is a pure vegetarian and loves good food.
Her passion for acting and modeling has made her successful in her films. Her first film was in Telugu. She then started acting in malayalam movies, where she acted with all the superstars such as Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Jayaram. Her first film in Tamil being Thavamai Thavamirundhu paired with actor/director Cheran, which turned to be a huge hit. Then followed Pattiyal a film directed by Vishnuvardhan in which she paired with Arya.
She is also a trained make-up artist and hair stylist. It was very refreshing to see Padma come up and voluntarily hair dress her competitors Kavya Madhavan and Navya Nair during the Dubai Star show in 2007.
She has also ventured into Hindi cinema and is doing Striker where she is paired opposite Siddharth. The movie is directed by Chandan Arora.

Padmapriya is back!
Padmapriya, who was introduced into Malayalam film industry through Blessey's Mammootty starrer Kazcha has been now considered as one of the most talented actresses in the south. The major thing to be noted with this actress is that she is more selective with her roles. She will not act in all the roles that comes her way.The striking news in relation to the actress is that every Malayalam film lovers are going to see her in the upcoming film by Mammootty, DaddyCool. She will appear in a few scenes in the movie as a guest star. The movie featuring Mammootty in the lead has Richa Palod as the heroine.

Jayaram, who recently made a strong come back into the Malayalam film industry with the hit films Veruthe Oru Bharya and Bhagyadevatha is now all set to continue his winning streak. Jayaram is currently working for a film titled as Kaana Kanmani, which marks the come back of Akku Akbar, K Girishkumar and Jayaram after the hit Veruthe Oru Bharya. Padmapriya is playing the lady lead in this film.This movie which gives prominence to family relationships and sentiments gives prime significance to comedy also. In this movie Jayaram will be seen in the role of Sub-Inspector Sadasivan. Sadasivan is a family man with a wife and child, but his main weakness is television serials. He cannot get over that craze. Sadasivan who is always thinking about serials, loses his job all of a sudden.
It so happens that by accident Sadasivan also lands in serials. What follow are the problems he encounter and how these problems influence his life and change his life. The climax will unfold whether they change his life for the better or for the worse. Time Arts is produing this Malayalam movie, which will be distributed by Mammootty's Playhouse into the theatres for this September as an Onam release.

Kanaa kanmani is the onam release of Jayaram . The movie is scheduled for september 3rd and as per reports the movie will be released in 70 theatres. The movie also features Padmapriya and baby Nivedhitha in Key roles. The team that created the hit Veruthe Oru Bharya is behind this venture.Akku Akbar is directing the movie while K Gireeshkumar has done the script. The new movie kana Kanmani is rumored to have some similarities in story lines with its maker's earlier Hindi flick ‘Gouri’, The Unborn’. The movie will be a perfect family story.
Jayaram and Padmapriya plays an young and loving couple from two different castes. They are so much in love that they always behave as if they are in their teens. After a short wait, they are blessed with a daughter, Anagha . Their first crisis in life comes when Anakha is forced to follow the religious rituals by her grandmother played by Sukumari. The film follows how the couple and their wise child overcome the associated controversies about faith and religion with their unadulterated love for each other.
Other casts Of the movie includes Biju Menon, Vijayaraghavan, and Sukumari. For the first time, Vijayraghavan will be playing a very funny character, as father to character played by Jayaram. The other highlight of the movie kanaa kanmani is the three songs set to music by Shyam Dharman. The movie is being distributed by Megastar Mammootty's “Playhouse”.
Pazhassi Raja-The real oscar movie11
'Pazhassi Raja', the magnum opus starring Mollywood superstar Mammootty, is all set to hit cinemas on October 2. This hugely anticipated period movie, written by MT Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan, is about the warrior prince Pazhassi Raja who took on the might of the British Empire during the last years of the 18th century.
The film, produced by Gokulam Gopalan, is reportedly the costliest Malayalam movie to date.
Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan will introduce the movie in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi respectively. Ilaiyaraja scroes the music and Resul Pookkutty posts the sound. Another unique thing about the movie is that the viewers would be spared of gross SFX. The look would be as authentic as it can be, say the makers.
The cast includes Sarathkumar, Kanika Subramaniam, Padmapriya, Manoj K. Jayan, Thilakan, Jagathi Sreekumar, Suresh Krishna, Suman and Linda Arsenio.
