Asin is out !of Priyadarshan's comedy with Akshay Kumar

It seems South India's Next Best Thing Asin is determined to take her success-quotient to a high a level in Bollywood as it is in Tamil and Telugu cinema. No false moves no slipups for the stunning sensation from the South who is being touted as a blend of Hema Malini and Rekha.

Just recently, Asin gave the nod to three biggies with Aamir Khan (Ghajini), Salman Khan-Ajay Devgan (London Dreams) and last but certainly not the least, Akshay Kumar (Aise Ko Taisa). Now the news is, Asin is out of Priyadarshan's comedy with Akshay Kumar. Reason? According to her polite father, "There's a date clash with the promos of Ghajini."

However, the director Priyadarshan is more forthcoming. "The Akshay film is a three-heroine project. I don't think Asin would be comfortable with that. My producers Venus are looking into the matter of the heroines. We start shooting in November. So we've ample time to find the girls."

As far as Asin is concerned, the signal is loud and clear. This girl is here only to do author-backed central roles. No less.

Shahrukh drops Katrina from 'Temptation Reloaded Tour'

In a reciprocal move of his ongoing feud with Salman Khan , Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has dropped Katrina Kaif from his 'Temptation Reloaded Tour'.

Katrina was to perform along with Kareena Kapoor , Arjun Rampal , Javed Ali , Anushka Dandekar and Ganesh Hedge in the ‘Temptation Reloaded Tour’ that is touted as the next big thing after the Bachchans’ ‘Unforgettable Tour’.

But SRK, who like a true Scorpion has a huge ego and also being the king of the show, decided to blacklist Katrina.

Seems like Katrina will also bear the brunt of this ugly face off between SRK and Salman even though she has been fuming over Salman’s misbehaviour at her birthday bash and has reportedly ended her relationship with him.

This seems to be one of the many conflicts that are yet to come as the feud is nowhere drawing to a happy ending any time soon.

Bhagavan all Set for Release!

Mohanlal's latest movie ‘Bhagavan’ is all set for a wide release. The movie works were almost overand according to the latest news the movie will be released in theatres on may first week. The movie Bhagavan which made history by completing it shoot in just 17 hours will release in about 100 theatres as the movie is a suspense thriller.

Featuring Mohanlal in the lead, this full length commercial movie which tells a plot on antiterrorism, was shot in just below a days time with five crew's simultaneously operating in five nearby locations.The movie tells the story of a doctor, who takes steps to free a hospital and its inmates, laid on siege by a group of terrorists, who plans to blast the entire construction and lives inside.

Directed and scripted by Prasanth Maambully, ‘Bhagavan’ also features Ibrahimkutty, Sudheesh, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Shafna, Lena, Lakshana, Anu Anand and Nanda Paalat in other important roles.Produced by P K Chandran in the banner of Arul movies, the movie is expected to join the Box office by the first of May.

There are a number of films released this vishu.Among thase films Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded,2 Harihar Nagar,IG,Ayan etc are the most noticable. Here i am providing the latest collecctyion reports of this film and its position in the Kerala box office.

Mohanlal’s most hyped stylish action thriller Sagar alias Jacky-Reloaded directed by Amal Neerad, is doing decent business across kerala last week even though the movie is in the safer side release of 2HN affected the collection badly.With the unbeilevale initial collection it stays at thefirst position in the box office.It go a distributor share of 2.7 crores from all kerala in 16 days.

Lal’s Vishu release ‘2 Harihar Nagar’ took great opening.The movie which made a release in 60 theatres was greeted with long queues and processions in every centre.2 Harihar Nagar is all set to create a new record at kerala box office.Now it is in the second position and it will get into first position if things goes like this for one more week. It got an overall gross collection of about 4 crores.

After long gap Suresh Gopi is back in action with an Suspense thriller.This movie is having good word of mouth and expected to become a good earner. IG is an average thriller movie and got a descent collection.Magante Achan’ It had a very ordinary start, but picked up after family audiences took it up.The film is doing well in smaller stations it has become a first super hit of the year.Red Chillies took a very good opening, but could not sustain after the first week. However it is OK, for its producers Rajaputra Renjith and distributor Vysakha Rajan. They may recover their investment and get a good distributors share.Red Chillies gor a 3.5 crorers distributor share.

Ayan is also collecting superbly.It is a film with super action and some love.It is going to be a superhit in Kerala box office to.As the no of releasing centre in kerala is low,it doesn't hold a position in the Box office.

Trisha getting out!

South beauty Trisha has rubbished the reports that she is making a foray in Malayalam films.
The actress, who has made a niche for herself in Tamil and Telugu film industry, had reportedly agreed to enter Mollywood with a Malayalam film opposite Dileep. In fact, it was even reported that Trisha had reduced her acting fee for this untitled flick to be directed by scriptwriter-turned-director B. Unnikrishnan.

But the actress has now denied the reports. She says her dates-diary is full with projects in Kollywood and Tollywood, leaving her no time to do films outside her usual turf.
However, she concedes that she would definitely do a Malayalam film someday.
The actress is currently busy with Gautham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’, starring Silambarasan in the lead.

Among her forthcoming films are Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Sarvam’ opposite Arya , Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadu Kalam’ opposite Dhanush , Gautham Menon’s ‘Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam’ and ‘Craze’ in Telugu.

Review : Moz and Cat!

Dileep's vishu release ‘Moz And Cat’, released last day. According to the initial reports the movie have a bad response from tha audience.One of my friends went for the film first day and he said me that only about 75 peoples there for seeing the film. I just asked all about the film.Simply they said that it ends up as a feel-nothing movie, that tries too hard to find a way into your heart. Here is my review about the movie Moz and Cat.

The movie Moz and Cat was Scripted and directed by veteran Fazil. Te movie is all about Moss D Samuel (Dileep) a fun loving conman who lives with Tessy, a nine year old kid, lovingly called as Cat ,(baby Nivedhitha) who is more than a sister and friend to him.Both are orphans and the two join hands to play pranks on others to earn money for their living! A chance meeting with Nandana (Aswathy), change their lives forever. Nandana decides to use Tessy to remind her brother Sumesh (Rahman), a junkie, about their childhood and bring him back to his normal self.

Nandhana (AswathyAshok) takes the presence of ‘Moz And Cat’ as a chance to bring back her drug addict brother to safety of their family and realities of life. With the help of dangerous but intelligent plans hatched by Moz, they take on Panakkal Das (Manoj K Jayan), the customary villain who is there to destroy Sumesh and his fortunes.

‘Moz And Cat’ does have some mildly amusing moments in the former half, but the story seems to have gone out of control and just swells out. hereafter, within a few minutes it turns out to become a structural mess, with the efforts to built suspense or tension, laying flat with bizarre, inflated moments, that is hardly stimulating or engaging.The veteran film maker seems to be not in the best of his days, in story telling and his flawed direction in a regrettable finale, that very well topple down to tumbles, seals the inevitable destruction.

Technically ‘Moz And Cat’ is not a shoddy film, though the editing by Goury Shankaran and camera by Aanandhakuttan doesn't offer much more than the regular stuff. Ouseppachan in the music department comes with a couple of lilting hummable tunes that comes as a relief.

Fazil, as usual, has taken his time to design and decorate his lead star's attires and dress codes that are sure to grab the attention of masses and will become the fashion statement in the next few months.I am giving a big zero to the movie.I prefer you to watch either 2 harihar nagar or Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded once again rather than watching this rubbish movie.

Happy Tamil New Year

Mohanlal in trouble!

Superstar Mohanlal's highly anticipated film Casanova is now put off due to some severe problems. Casanova, a big budget film of around Rs 10 crores, was to be directed by Roshan Andrews. The script of the movie was handled by Bobby and Sanjay. The film was to be produced by Confident Group.

The film which was to start rolling in Vienna in the first week of April was delayed for a short while due to some delay in Visa formalities. After finishing the formalities, the film was all set to start but now a much severe delay has occured. It's heard that Confident Group, the producer's of this new film have backed out of the project and would no longer be producing the film.

Casanova, that will feature Superstar Mohanlal as a rich businessman in Europe was scheduled to be Mohanlal's this year's Onam release, but with the current obstacles this film may not be able to make it by that time. Apart from Mohanlal, this film also features Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana, Priyanka Nair (Veyyil fame), and Tamil star Arya in key roles.

According to the Casanova team, this new Mohanlal starrer will start rolling by the third week of May, but it is to be seen whether it happens or not.

A dubbed film from Mammootty!

Megastar Mammootty is going to have a quick release in Malayalam very shortly. Don't get confused, it will not be a Malayalam movie but will be a Malayalam dubbed version of a Tamil film titled as Junior Senior. The Malayalam dubbed version of this Tamil film is titled as Super. The musical score for this film was conducted by Yuvan Shanker Raja.

This Tamil film, which was released more than three years back featured Mammootty and Leena in the lead and was directed by J.Suresh. Mammootty plays a businessman who goes on a mission to Malaysia where the entire film has been shot. The Tamil version of this film was a commercial dud but seeing the popularity of Mammootty in Kerala Winner Films and JR international are releasing the film in Kerala.
