Ravana shooting ends; Mani Ratnam celebrates with party!!

Rains, mishaps, jungle safaris, delays – and what not! Looks like this Mani Ratnam’s magmas opus will go down the cine history for its longest shooting adventure.

And now, ‘Ravana’, this most anticipated movie, is said to have completed its shooting journey. The entire crew would have dropped down in a joyful relief now, we say! And to mark this occasion, Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini organized a party for the team. All is well that ends well! Insiders said that Mani sir praised highly of Bollywood star Govinda and his performance, which touched the surprised actor immensely.

At last the team can breathe in the modern civilization again…

Now to refresh you on the movie details – ‘Ravana’ is produced and directed by Mani Ratnam. It has a huge star cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Govinda, Prithviraj, Priyamani, Karthik and others. ‘Ravana’ is a bilingual, Hindi-Tamil, movie and loosely based on the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. Interestingly, the director has modified the story with a modern touch, making the villain a hero. That is, Vikram here plays the title character as Ravan.

The cinematography is handled by Santosh Sivan while music is done by Oscar winner A R Rahman.

What remains in the list for us is to just wait for this story to unfold on screens. Cross-fingers!

‘24’ first, Selvaragavan’s next: Vikram++++

Only two films (‘Bheema’ and ‘Kanthaswamy’) in five years has made Vikram to rework on his working style. As per the new decision, the actor will act in two movies simultaneously, as against his earlier trend of doing only one film at a time.

“Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ is almost over except some patchwork. Hence, I am now concentrating in two more projects, one by Vikram Kumar titled ‘24’ and the other by Selvaragavan. I have recently completed a three-week schedule in Ladakh for Selva’s film,” he says.Though Vikram is yet to start working for ‘24’ (the film will go on floors next week), he is clear that the film would hit the screens before ghavan’s venture. “Selva’s film will take some more time. ‘24’ will be released first,” he says.

On his much expected production venture directed by Sasikumar, Vkram says, “Sasi is the innovative filmmaker in Tamil cinema in recent times. Hence I asked him to direct my first production venture. The script is fantastic and is set in Chennai.”

Maybe, the buzzes couldn’t be more of an unconfirmed statement and now we have got it done straight from the shoulders. Yup! Vikram K Kumar is all set to start his next film ‘24’ from first week of December with Vikram in lead role. Tollywood’s hottie Ileana has been inked the deal to star opposite Vikram in female lead role.

Mohan Natarajan will be produce the film and rest of the cast and crew will be announced shortly.

Recently, there were some rumors about the issues popped up between the actor and producer, which has been amicably settled down.

Much similar to ‘Yaavarum Nalam’, ‘24’ will be an edge-seated thriller and if what we heard from closer sources are true, it’s a sci-fi thriller.

Vikram's next film!

The next film of Chiyaan Vikram, who is basking in the tremendous B.O success of 'Kanthaswamy', will be with Selvaraghavan.

Vikram says he has been dreaming about working with the talented young director and feels very happy to have landed the opportunity. It is learnt that the entire shooting of the film will be held in Iceland.

This will be the first time Selvaraghavan joins hands with a superstar. The director, known for his sensitive films such as 'Kadhal Kondein' and '7G Rainbow Colony', is busy with the post production works of 'Aayirathil Oruvan', starring Karthi in the lead.

Though 'Kanthaswamy' has nothing new in it, the film is having a fantastic opening at the B.O., thanks to Vikram and his songs set to tune by Devi Sri Prasad.

Kanthasamy,the new tamil film starring Chiyan Vikram and the hot sexy heroine Shreya has dissappointed the fans with its old story and bad camera work.

The fans had great expectation but the crew failed to come upto their expectations.Many told that the film was a 3 hour boring job and rs 50 fine although the song were superb.

Hope that the next Vikram film will come to the expectations.

Swathi gets a chance to pair up with Vikram45

Colours Swathy, who hit the limelight with her brilliant performance in 'Subrahmanyapuram', has bagged the biggest role in her career to date, says our source.

The untitled film to be directed by Selvaraghavan. The film will be produced by Kanakaratna Ramesh.She will be playing the female lead opposite Chiyaan Vikram.

Swathy entered showbiz through the Telugu TV programme, titled 'Colours'. It was Selvaraghavan who gave her first break in 'Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule', which was later remade into Tamil as 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini'.

Post 'Subrahmanyapuram', Swathy has been getting many offers in the lead, but the intelligent actress is being very choosy about them.

Vijay, Suriya & Vikram in a music album
