Mohanlal- shajiKailas Red Chillies took a very good opening, but could not sustain after the first week. However it is OK, for its producers Rajaputra Renjith and distributor Vysakha Rajan. They may recover their investment and get a distributors share of around Rs 3.5 crore in the long run. But overall it is an average movie.Read review of Redchillies
Second top movie of last month was Sreenivasan starring Makante Achan.It had a very ordinary start, but picked up after family audiences took it up. The film proves beyond doubt that Sreenivasan has an audience. The film is doing well in smaller stations also though it is best at Ernakulam Shenoys, where it has collected a net of Rs 28.15 lakhs in 35 days
Dileep's Crazy Gopalan is in the third position. Dileep got a new lease of life with this film, which will do business worth Rs 4 to 5 crore. The film is a basically a typical slapstick comedy with no logic that has worked with the masses. From Thiruvananthapuram New Theatre alone it has grossed an amazing Rs 35, 87,220 in 35 days.
