Bala is up and running with his not-so-serious comic caper Avan Ivan starring Arya and Vishal in the lead. While he seems to have finalized the rest of the cast, the coveted heroine position was up for grabs until now.
According to sources, Bala has zeroed down on Nivedita, an actress whose previous credits include Kadhai and Porkkalam. Although both the movies bombed at the BO, let’s hope Bala’s faith in Nivedita does not fall short.
It is worth a mention here that Bala had already signed up Janani Iyer as one of the two heroines.

Bala, who has done films in Tamil and Malayalam, got engaged to Amritha Suresh, a singer of a top reality show on the Asianet channel.

Bala and Amritha, ardent devotees of Mata Amrithanandamayi, have been in love for the last couple of years.

The engagement was held at Nedumbassery's Saj Hotel. Friends and family were present at the occasion. The wedding will take place in September, 2010.
