Mano Akkineni, granddaughter of late LV Prasad has floated a new banner Indira Innovations and they have completed the shoot of their maiden film Drohi, an action thriller. The DI (Digital Imaging) work is going on and the audio of the film will release by end of March.
Mano who prefers to work silently had roped in Sudha, a former assistant of Mani Ratnam who will be debuting as director with Vishnu (of Vennila Kabbadhi Kuzhu fame), Srikanth, Poonam Bajwa, Poorna and Pooja in the lead. The film has a great technical team of cameraman Alphonse, art director Rajeevan and editor by Sreekar Prasad. Music is by Selvaganesh.
Says Mano: “Drohi is the title of my grandfathers hit film in 1948 and I wanted that title for my debut film as producer. I am passionate about films and will be making quality films which will be made on a reasonable budget”.
Now Mano is back from Madurai where she was shooting for her second film titled Kullanari Koottam, a love subject with Vishnu and Ramya Nambeesan in the lead directed by Sri Balaji.
