A.R. Rahman, a famous and prominent musician, music composer and director born on January 6, 1966 in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He started his career with music recording and mixing studio. Later he worked for various movies as music composer. Roja is the first movie of A.R. Rahman composed the music which brought National Film Award to him. Apart from the musician, he is a well-known singer performed Vande Mataram song, movie songs and albums.

The 66th Golden Globe Awards ceremony held at Los Angeles, where the world’s best Music Directors, Film-makers, Directors were participating in the contest. A.R. Rahman is the one among them. The Kollywood industry is really proud of A.R. Rahman who is the first Indian wins the “Golden Globe Award” for the movie “Slum Dog Millionaire”. The award mainly goes for his song “Jai Ho”. A.R. Rahman’s music is a major highlight of the movie. The movie also won awards for many features like Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, etc.
