Thanks to the sexy skeletons tumbling out of the closet of ace golfer Tiger Woods, an old rumour has got some grist again.

In 2001, it was rumoured that our very own Lara Dutta, who was crowned Miss Universe in 2000, had a fling with Tiger Woods. Back then, she was also linked with American baseball player Derek Jeter, and there was a strong buzz that she had caught Tiger’s eye as well.

Though Tiger had denied dating Lara or stealing her from Jeter in an interview to a US newspaper then, but now that his secret skill to birdie many a hole off the green has come to the fore, the champ’s past denials are being taken with a fist of salt.

None but Lara and Tiger know if they had anything going on between them. But today, more than 8 years after the alleged fling, the rumours haven’t given up the ghost.
